History.com has this awesome July 4th infographic to celebrate the day (and I am shamelessly posting it here…)
I’m off to eat a hot dog! Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Thursday, July 4th, 2013 History.com has this awesome July 4th infographic to celebrate the day (and I am shamelessly posting it here…) I’m off to eat a hot dog! Hope everyone enjoys the day. Click on the image to enjoy a larger (and more readable) version. Monday, July 4th, 2011 I’ll be celebrating by gorging at a family picnic today. The menu includes:
I think there will be seven of us in attendance. That’s the kind of parties my family throws. The good news is: like Thanksgiving, we will not have to cook for the rest of the week! What are you doing today? Sunday, July 4th, 2010 Happy Independence Day! As I mentioned Friday, this is one of my favorite holidays. Not only do I get to gorge on hot dogs and corn on the cob, I’m reminded — as I try to remember daily — what freedoms I have as an American. I’ve been watching quite a bit of the history channel this weekend, learning things about American History they never taught me in high school. Things kids should know. Really. This is the first year in a long time – perhaps a decade – when I’m at home. I have no plans…except to eat those hot dogs and prop my feet up. Maybe watch a bit more of the history channel. (I’m looking forward to staying away from the crowds.) Wishing you a fantastic day, whether you’re celebrating or not! As always, I thank all the men and women serving in the armed forces currently, and in the past. |
