Sneak Peek of ‘On the Path’ in Latest Broad Pod

Broad Universe's Podcast
The latest Broad Pod Podcast is available.

The theme is about Faith and Fear and contains a snippet of me reading from “On the Path.” The podcast contains five authors reading about five minutes from their stories…just enough of a juicy tidbit to (we hope) get you interested in the rest.

You can download (or just listen to it) from here: http://broadpod.posterous.com/december-2011-faith-and-fear.

All previous Broad Universe Podcasts can be found on the BroadPod blog.

Two Cool Sites: Kindle Nation Daily and BookLending.Com

I found two very cool sites recently and I wanted to share.

Kindle Nation Daily features free books, tips, news and commentaries all related to Kindle. The site is jam-packed with info.

Kindle Nation Daily hosted Blood Soup yesterday, and I’m just tickled with the way it appeared. I just love the look and feel of that Web site.

But don’t visit just to check out the Blood Soup page, there’s A TON of things to look at and download.

In conjunction with the KND “spread,” Blood Soup was hosted over at BookLending.com. This site connects readers who want to read books with book owners who want to lend them. It allows folks to share kindle books.

Neat concept!

I’m Wanted! And Other Bits of Newsy News

Uncle Sam - I Want You PosterOh, boy!

I was tickled to wander over to Anna Marie Catoir’s blog and find myself “wanted!”

After reading the review for Blood Soup over at Kay’s Dead Book Darling blog, Anna Marie wanted to read it, too.

Wow! That kind of stuff just makes my day.

(Kay gave Blood Soup a “Great!” rating, by the way. You should check it out.)

But before you wander off to Kay’s blog to read the review, check out the masks Anna Marie makes and showcases on her blog. They’re fabulous. My favorites are the The Brown Man and Blue Lips.

In other newsy news, I sold my story Sky Lit Bargains, to the Drollerie Press anthology, Hellbore and Rue.

Choosing the Right Word

Cover of Blood SoupThe blog tour continues!

I’m over at Ginger Simpson’s Dishin’ it Out blog today, talking about Choosing the Right Word. I never thought this would get such a response!

Marianne Atkins interviewed me for her Read-Write blog. I poke a little fun at not being able to talk about myself…just ask me a direct question, ok? In the interview she asks me to “fill in the blanks,” so you can find out what has (_______) improved remarkably since (_______)!

How Could I Forget??

Cover of Blood SoupIt just goes to show you just how crazy a day was yesterday that I also forgot about my interview over at Amber Leigh Williams’ Cozy Page.

I talk about finding a title for Blood Soup and a smidge about my reporting days.

Please mosey over to the Cozy Page and leave Amber some comments!

Yesterday was one of those days…

…when the proverbial poo hit the fan. Then I met up with my writer group after work to crit our latest WIPs. I drove over 200 miles yesterday (I’ve done it before, but it’s always tough on a ‘school night.’) and my eyes were practically crossed when I walked in the door around 10:00 p.m.

Needless to say, I didn’t turn on the computer.

As a result, I neglected to post that “WriterTracy” over at Rambling Roses, Purple Prose and other Asinine Alliteration excerpted Blood Soup on her journal. She also wrote a very nice interview with me here in which I reveal where I met my Husband of Awesomeness™.

Please stop by and comment.

Today, I’m over at Authors by Authors where I reveal my favorite snack.

I’d love to see you there!
